One of Major League Baseball’s most consistent relief pitchers, Joe Nathan registered his third straight 30+ saves season in 2014 when he closed out 35 games for the Detroit Tigers. Nathan picked up his 10th save of that campaign while wearing this grey game-used Tigers button-down road jersey in a 7-5 win over the Orioles on May 14. “Detroit” appears across the chest of the jersey in navy blue on orange and white tackle twill. “NATHAN” appears across the top back of the jersey, while his number “36” graces the front and reverse sides, all in matching navy blue on orange and white tackle twill. The front left tail of the jersey boasts a “Majestic Authentic Collection” manufacturer’s label initialed “JSG” by Tigers clubhouse manager Jim Schmakel in black sharpie. A white strip tag below reads “36 50 ’14 362.” The jersey shows light evidence of game use and is certified under the MLB Authentication program, number “EK301319.”
