Detroit Tigers first baseman Victor Martinez enjoyed one of the finest seasons of his career in 2014 when the 12-year veteran hit .335 with 32 home runs and 103 RBI. Martinez, at age 35, led the American League with .409 OBP and .974 OPS. This grey game-used Tigers button-down road jersey comes from a July 23, 2014 contest when Martinez went 2-for-4 with a pair of runs in an 11-5 win over Arizona. “Detroit” appears across the chest of the jersey in navy blue on orange and white tackle twill. “MARTINEZ” appears across the top back of the jersey, while his number “41” graces the front and reverse sides, all in matching navy blue on orange and white tackle twill. The front left tail of the jersey boasts a “Majestic Authentic Collection” manufacturer’s label with a white strip tag below that reads “41 46 ’14 312.” The jersey shows heavy signs of game use, highlighted by prominent dirt stains on the left shoulder and right sleeve extending to the back. The game-used Martinez jersey is certified under the MLB Authentication program, number “HZ030482.”
