This unique two-piece offering features the baseball used for Miguel Cabrera’s 40th double of the 2014 season, and the base that he pulled into upon accomplishing the feat. The Rawlings Official Major League (Selig) ball is in outstanding condition, except for a pronounced scrape on one panel from impact. The regulation MLB base shows nice game wear, including clay residue and numerous spike marks. Each side panel is adorned with a plate recognizing the Tigers’ three divisional championships, and the underside is marked, “8-16-14, 2nd Base, Innings 6-9.” Cabrera crashed his double in the 7th and came round to score the winning run in the victory over Seattle, and the slugger went on to record a league-high 52 two-baggers on the season. MLB hologram (HZ290938) authenticates the actual game used baseball Cabrera hit for his 40th 2-bagger of the year and MLB hologram (HZ313070) certifies the game used base.
