The 2012 Detroit Tigers led by Triple Crown award winner Miguel Cabrera, saw the club finish atop the American League Central. Powered by the arm of the previous year’s Cy Young award winning pitcher Justin Verlander and Slugger Prince Fielder, the Tigers defeated the Oakland Athletics 3 games to 2 in the American League Divisional Series and swept the New York Yankees in the American League Championship Series. The Tigers would go on to face the San Francisco Giants in the 2012 World Series. This large 2012 Detroit Tigers Banner proudly displays the teams’ colors, navy blue and orange, along with the inscription, “2012 American League Champions,” in bold white sewn on lettering. This banner also features Major League Baseball’s logo atop the banner and Detroit’s world famous logo at the bottom of the banner.
