In his 11th season with the Yankees in 2005, “The Captain” hit .309 with 19 home runs and 70 RBI and surpassed the 200-hit mark for the fourth time in his career. His Gold Glove fielding heroics helped get the Yankees to the post-season, but despite his .333 batting the Yanks lost to the Angels in the ALDS. The Louisville Slugger P72 is un-cracked and shows excellent use. Several ball marks with stitch impressions are found on the barrel along with cleat imprints and bat rack paint streaks. There is an impression of a weighted batting donut on the barrel and a light coat of Mota Stick is present on the handle. This textbook example of the kind of bat Jeter used throughout his Hall of Fame career is made all the more desirable by his signature in silver ink on its barrel. This item comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA (D62888) and have graded this bat a "GU 8".
