This photograph captures three of the most explosive offensive ball players in the history of the game. A young Mickey Mantle stands between Joe DiMaggio and Ted Williams, bats on their shoulders ready for action. DiMaggio and Williams, both established stars, sport a confident and knowing grin while The Mick, likely in his rookie season looks pensive, perhaps wondering if his career will come close to that of the two men next to him. A classic photo made all the more special by the signature of all three. Each superstar has signed in bold navy blue marker, contrasting nicely with the even tones of the photograph.
