Scion of the powerful Shibe family, Thomas was a longtime team official under his father Benjamin and ultimately rose to the A's presidency after the patriarch's death in 1922. Thomas' tenure lasted until his own passing in 1936. Hailing from the fabled A's dynasty years, this size 11-1/2 ring was created from the 14K-gold charm (EX/MT with vintage patina) of Shibe's championship tie clasp, which was then repurposed with 14K-gold ring components (NM) to form the showpiece offered here. The underside of the charm/ring top is engraved "THOMAS SHIBE" (difficult to see) and "PRESIDENT." The ring shank feature logo designs. A 1998 purchase LOA accompanies.
