This program from the 1912 World Series played between the Boston Red Sox and the New York Giants features stockings hanging from a clothes line which spell out “Red Sox.” Inside this vintage champions program from Fenway Park are short player biographies alongside photos of each player in on the field action shots. This Fall Classic saw formidable pitching from both clubs with the Giants Christy Mathewson and the Red Sox’s Joe Wood each taking the mound for their respected clubs. This series was the first to be decided in the last inning of the final game. The Red Sox defeated the Giants 4 games to 3 to win the 1912 World Series. The center scorecard page is not present. The program itself shows edge wear and a few tears on the interior pages with minor paper loss on the back cover.
