A wonderful photo of Roger Maris graces the cover of this February 1962 issue of ‘Sport’ Magazine along with the caption “Roger Maris Man of the Year.” Obviously, Maris’ 1961 campaign led to this honor when Maris broke the Major League Baseball single-season home run record previously held by Babe Ruth. The publication also features stories about Ty Cobb’s letters to Barry Latman, life with Jerry Lucas, and a new series featuring Bob Cousey. The magazine has been boldly and beautifully signed in an unhurried fashion by Maris in blue and has been authenticated by PSA/DNA.
