This program from the 1947 World Series played between the New York Yankees and the Brooklyn Dodgers features the Yankees logo on the front cover behind a blue background. Inside the program are black and white photographs of players from both clubs as well as short player biographies. The scorecards on the inside have not been filled out. This WS was the first racially integrated series as Brooklyn Dodger Jackie Robinson had broken Major League Baseballs color barrier by joining the team at the beginning of the season. The New York Yankees would go on to defeat the Brooklyn Dodgers 4 games to 3 to win the 1947 World Series. The program exhibits some edge wear with a pencil notation on the back cover but remains in good condition.
