The acquisition of Gary Carter was the final piece the Mets needed to create a pennant winner. Carter’s many years of experience was vital in handling the Mets’ young pitching staff and his bat came through in the clutch again and again. In his own quiet way, Carter amassed 324 home runs in a 21-year career that took him all the way to Cooperstown. Carter used this bat during the season following the 1986 World Championship season. The Kid’s Rawlings 454A bat shows outstanding use and is un-cracked. Carter’s number “8” has been hand written on both ends of the bat and he has signed the barrel just below the stamped endorsement on the barrel. A great signed gamer from the prime of Carter’s Hall of Fame career. Letter of Authenticity 1B09572 from PSA/DNA who have graded this bat a GU 9.
