Hitting .271 and 44 homers, 1996 was Matt Buhner’s best summer in 15 years in the majors. Bone’s Adirondack/Rawlings 121JB bat shows heavy use with a cracked handle. Many ball and stitch impressions are found on the barrel along with blue ink transfers and blue bat rack streaks. A heavy coat of pine tar coats the handle and adhesive tape has been applied in a spiral pattern to the knob end to enhance the grip. The model number “121JB”, order number “280” and year “96” are stamped into the knob. The weight “32” and Buhner is hand written on the knob in black pen. “BONE” is hand written on the knob end in black marker. Letter of Authenticity (1B08374) from PSA/DNA.
