If you had to pick one player from recent memory to have on your team in the post-season, you'd most likely name Derek Jeter. Following in the footsteps of Ruth, Gehrig and Mantle, Jeter seemed to turn his play up to 11 when the season ended. Take 2009 for example. He simply dominated in the World Series, hitting an incredible .407 against the Philadelphia Phillies. Jeter, batting in the lead-off slot for the first time in his career helped defeat the Phillies to earn his fifth World Championship ring. This ball was used in the bottom of the 7th inning of the Game 5 and Jeter was 1 for 5 in the eventual Phillies win. The Official 2009 World Series ball is stamped with the series logo in gold and shows good game use. Jeter has signed directly below the gold logo in blue ballpoint (8/10). COA LH 773023 from MLB and Steiner.
