Ranked No. 1 MLB.com and BaseballProspectus.com, and No. 2 by Baseball America, in their 2015 prospect rankings, outfielder Byron Buxton could be the next big thing to hit Major League fields. A career .300 hitter in the minors, Buxton, a Minnesota Twins prospect, signed this game-used hat while a member of the Single-A Cedar Rapids Kernels in 2013. Buxton’s signature appears prominently on the top brim of the hat in bold, silver sharpie along with the inscription “2013 Game Used.” The underside of the brim features a handwritten inscription by Buxton that reads “Believe in the Lord. Everything Possible. Believe.” The inside rim of the hat features a “New Era” manufacturer’s tag, size “7” tag and “Minor League Baseball” tag. The front of the hat boasts the Kernels’ trademark logo of a baseball bat posing as an ear of corn. The signed, game-used hat is PSA/DNA certified, number “X90281,” comes with a SidsGraphs COA and a photo of Buxton signing the hat.
