One came in the 1949 season, when Dem Bums earned the National League Pennant, only to fall to the rival Yankees in the World Series. This Spalding Official National League (Frick) baseball contains 25 signatures in steel tip fountain pen, including Hall of Famers Roy Campanella, Jackie Robinson, and Duke Snider. Other key names include Gil Hodges, Carl Furillo, and Don Newcombe. Historical note – this was also the season that Jackie Robinson became the first black player to win the National League MVP award.
