A five-time All-Star and three-time Gold Glove winner behind the plate, Minnesota’s Earl Battey emerged as one of baseball’s best catchers in the 1960s. Battey used this Hillerich & Bradsby K55 model bat, which manufacturer records date to 1965-68, in the later stages of his career with the Twins. Battey concluded his career in 1967 while playing for Minnesota. The game-used ash bat features a standard finish, measures 35.5 inches and weighs in at 35.8 ounces. Battey’s bat remains un-cracked and shows light evidence of game use. The game-used bat is accompanied by a PSA/DNA LOA, certification number “1B09586.”
