The Brewer’s shortstop cemented his Hall of Fame credentials with an NL MVP Award in 1982. He followed that season up with 4 solid .300 seasons in which he hit 57 home runs and drove in 274 runs. The greatest player in the history of the Brewers franchise, Yount was a first ballot Hall of Famer. His Louisville Slugger P72 dates from 1983-1986 shows excellent use with a handle crack. As befits the Brewers sluggers, the barrel exhibits checking from repeated ball contact. Several ball marks with stitch impressions are seen on the barrel along side blue and green bat rack paint streaks. A light coat of pine tar is still clinging to the handle and Yount’s famous number “19” is hand written on the knob end. You couldn’t ask for a better bat from this popular Hall of Famer. Letter of Authenticity 1B03868 from PSA/DNA.
