The Royals knew what they were getting in Zack Greinke when they used the sixth overall pick on the right-handed pitcher in the 2002 MLB amateur draft. Greinke, a two-time All-Star, would go on to claim the AL Cy Young award in 2009 to establish his place as one of the league’s best pitchers. Offered is a grey game-used Greinke button-down vest style jersey from the hurler’s rookie campaign in Kansas City in 2004. “KANSAS CITY” appears across the chest above his number “23” in blue on white and black tackle twill. The reverse side of the jersey boasts “GREINKE” across the top above his number “23,” again in blue on white and black tackle twill. The front left tail of the jersey features a “Russell Athletic Authentic Collection” manufacturer’s label with a “100% POLYESTER” and size “44” tag below. The game-used Greinke jersey shows moderate signs of wear and comes with an LOA from noted sports jersey expert Dave Miedema.
