Bart Oates got a late start to his NFL career due to three USFL seasons—including two USFL championships. A winner through and through, Oates was signed by the Giants in 1985 at age 27, and won 3 Super Bowls before his retirement in 1995 at age 37. He also was a five-time Pro Bowl selection. This Balfour 10K-gold, size 13 ring hails from the Giants' 20-19 victory (thank you, Scott Norwood) over the Bills in Super Bowl XXV—the sole Super Bowl in history decided by one point. Weighing 48 grams, the Near Mint showpiece features large football-shaped diamonds and 16 smaller diamonds. Oates' LOA reads, "This is my authentic Giants Super Bowl XXV ring awarded to me by the NY Football Giants. This ring is the duplicate replacement when the original ring was lost in the parking lot at Giants Stadium, while I was tailgating prior to a home game late in the 2002 season." Accompanied by the attractive "GIANTS 1990 WORLD CHAMPIONS" wooden presentation box (7-1/2" x 5-3/4" x 2-1/2").
