Richard Bong was a fighter pilot for the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II. Flying his twin engine P-38 Lightning fighter aircraft he is the United States highest scoring air ace, having shot down at least 40 Japanese aircraft. For his valor during the war he was awarded the Medal of Honor. This cut is signed in ink on the back of a business card with the heading, “O.C. Claus Editor, The Wisconsin Veteran.” Encapsulated by PSA/DNA 83779381, Graded: Authentic.
