This Official John Heydler National League baseball dates back to the late 1920s and early 1930s as marked by the patent number (RE 17200) and the “Cushioned Cork Center” stamp. The patent number was used for these baseballs between 1928 through 1933. The red and blue stitching that is on this ball was last used in 1933 as both leagues began using all red stitching in 1934, along with the stamp of the league president which was moved from the east panel to the sweet spot in 1934. The league president’s stamp on this particular ball is on the east panel. The baseball comes in its original box, which shows considerable wear given its age.
