Still known as Cassius Clay and largely unknown to the world at the time, the young man who would later become the most celebrated boxer of all-time and the most famous athlete in history, Muhammad Ali was an aspiring 18-year-old amateur boxer and the United States best shot at bringing home a gold medal in boxing when he ventured to Rome, Italy for the 1960 Olympics. This 34” x 38” shadow box display celebrates Ali’s crowning achievement containing a pair of white with black trim satin Everlast boxing trunks signed by Ali in bold blue sharpie on the left front panel. These like new trunks are accompanied by a 5” x 9” black and white photo of the complete 1960 U.S. Olympic Boxing team and a commemorative Rome 1960 Olympics post mark cache with an XVII Olympics logo at its center and a matted label (limited edition of 495) identifying the U.S. boxing team members and their weight classes; comes with Online Authentics COA.
