A dream scene it is indeed: artist Jamie Cooper has painted a mythical locker room meeting of the legends of Yankees baseball: Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Joe DiMaggio, Mickey Mantle and Derek Jeter. Representing four generations of pinstriped dynasties, the painting is loaded with detail from the bottles of long-time sponsor Ballantine Beer and pin-up of Marilyn Monroe in Joe DiMaggio's locker to The Mick's cans of Yoo-Hoo and The Babe's cigars. The painting captures Ruth, Gehrig, DiMaggio and Mantle talking shop as the new comer, Derek Jeter, makes his presence known. As if this detail-packed painting isn't fascinating enough, Derek Jeter has signed in sliver pen, adding his nickname "Mr. November" in honor of the post season heroics that earned him a spot in his meeting of pinstripe royalty. This extremely limited edition canvas print has also been signed by the artist and marked "2/2". Framed to a size of 32" x 38", one can spend hours immersed in its detail speculating what kind of stories this group of Yankees could tell!
