The 2013 Boston Red Sox completed a stellar season with their first Divisional Championship in six years, and rode that momentum to capturing the World Series. This Majestic MLB Authentic jersey was worn by Matt Thornton when the Sox clinched the division crown with a 6-3 home victory over the Toronto Blue Jays on September 20. The red button-front top is the team’s alternate home jersey, and includes a tag attached to the tail above a strip reading "38 50 '13" while "Red Sox" and number 38 are sewn to the red Cool Base jersey in navy on white double tackle twill. A “B Strong” patch is attached to the left shoulder while the right bears an MLB “PostSeason 2013” patch, with Boston having secured a playoff position just one day earlier. Thornton did not appear in that clincher, thus the jersey is in near-perfect condition. MLB Authenticated.
