Before the Dodgers, Robins and Superbas, Brooklyn had the Bridegrooms. And from 1891 to 1895, the name was shortened to simply the Grooms. Hall of Fame player/manager Monte Ward led the '91 squad and is listed on the penciled scoring grid inside. For an item of this age and delicateness, the 4-3/4" x 6-1/2" scorebook shows rather remarkable EX condition with a vertical centerfold. The front cover is beautiful and the interior pages are loose from the string-bound spine.
