This Derek Jeter signed 1994 Classic Best Gold minor league baseball card is among the earliest signed artifacts extant from this New York Yankees superstar. Jeter's youthful blue felt pen signature graces the front of this baseball card on which he is depicted as a young nineteen year old player on the Yankees Class A Greenberg Hornets team. Jeter was voted the South Atlantic League's Most Outstanding Prospect in 1993 before moving to the Yankees triple-A Columbus Clippers where in 1994 he was unanimously named Minor League Player of the Year by several national sponsoring bodies. Jeter subsequently earned the American League Rookie of the Year Award during his first full season with the Yankees (1996). In 2000, Jeter became the only player in history to win both the All-Star Game MVP Award and the World Series MVP Award in the same year. In 2011 Jeter became the first Yankee player to hit 3,000 hits in his career. Jeter's hard style of play and team spirit earned him All-Star status (14X), 5 Gold Glove Awards and 5 World Series rings, endearing him to countless baseball fans who await his first ballot entry into the Hall of Fame. This very scarce vintage signed minor league baseball card comes in a custom holder that certifies the autograph to be authentic on the holder by PSA/DNA, a major certification service in the sports collecting field.
