Just five years after founding Amazon.com, Jeff Bezos was named the 1999 Person of the Year by Time Magazine. Even then, one could hardly imagine the way his enterprise would impact consumers all over the globe. Offered here is the full “Person of the Year” edition of Time, dated December 27, 1999. The quirky CEO – fittingly depicted with his head surrounded by Styrofoam packing peanuts –has signed the cover in blue marker, “Customers Rule! – Jeff Bezos.” The magazine shows some use but cover and autograph are in excellent condition.
