General Douglas MacArthur has signed this February 21, 1955 typed letter, in blue fountain pen thanking someone for their cordial letter. MacArthur, the most decorated American soldier of World War I, went on to further glory in World War II when he led the U.S. to victory in the Pacific and on September 2, 1945, presided over the Japanese surrender on board the "U.S.S. Missouri," bringing an end to the war. The letter is accompanied by a four leaf program from the January 26, 1955 dedication of the MacArthur Monument at MacArthur Park, Los Angeles. Comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA.
