Winston Churchill, considered by many to be the greatest statesman of the 20th Century has signed this October, 1955 letter typed on his personal Hyde Park Gate letterhead typed over with a French address, "Yours sincerely Winston S. Churchill" in black fountain pen. In his letter Churchill writes to Swiss paint manufacturer Willy Sax, addressed in his hand to “My dear Sax,” stating “Thank you so much for the excellent wine which you sent me…” Churchill an avid painter himself maintained an 18 year business relationship with Sax. As Prime Minister of England Churchill led his nation through the darkest times of World War II and inspired all who were fighting the Nazi onslaught. The 6.75 X 8.5 letter is framed with its’ original mailing envelope. Authenticated by PSA/DNA #XO3940.
