Tom Seaver is a three time National League Cy Young award winning pitcher and a member of the Hall of Fame. Seaver is one of the best starting pitchers in MLB history and is best remembered for his time playing for the New York Mets where he helped the Mets win their first World Series championship in 1969. During the Mets championship season Seaver recorded a league high 25 wins, accounting for one quarter of the teams total wins. Known as, “The Franchise,” he is the only player in Cooperstown to have a plaque wearing a Mets hat. This 1975 Topps Chewing Gum, Incorporated contract is signed in black ink by Tom Seaver while he was still with the New York Mets. The contract was drawn up to be used as an extension to his present contract with Topps. This item comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA.
