Actress and singer Marlene Dietrich was one of the most popular and highest paid actresses of her era. She starred in such Hollywood hit films, Shanghai Express (1932) and Desire (1936) and she spent most of the mid 1900s touring the globe as a show performer. This glass cigarette lighter was personally owned by Dietrich. It features a brass tone metal top and a tonneau-shaped glass body. Its glass body has a lozenge pattern with a cross-hatched design. This lighter dates to the 1960s-1970s; it measures 3.75” high and 2.5” across and weighs approximately 9 ounces.
