No rivalry in NBA history lives up to the famed battles between the Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics through the years. The two franchises have met 12 times in the NBA Finals, including on three occasions in the 1980s, when Magic Johnson’s Lakers and Larry Bird’s Celtics engaged in some intense battles. The Lakers managed to capture two of those three championships, led by Johnson, who signed this lot of 10 color 16x20-inch portraits in bold, blue sharpie. Five of the portraits show Johnson doing battle with Bird, while the other five photographs capture Magic following through on of his many trademark assists in a game against Boston. The portraits are in overall strong condition, with corner bending and surface dimpling found on some of the pieces. Framing would eliminate the cosmetic blemishes in the corner. Each Johnson signed portrait is PSA/DNA pre-certified.
