Few names in motor sports lure carry as much weight as Mario Andretti. The four-time Indy Car National Champion’s career highlights include a Formula One World Championship (1978), Daytona 500 win (1967) and Indianapolis 500 victory (1969). Andretti, second all-time on the Indy Car wins list with 52, signed this lot of five color portraits, which consist of three different images, in bold silver or blue sharpie. Three of the color portraits, which Andretti signed in bold, silver sharpie, capture the race car driver head on in his iconic red Budweiser Indy car on a glossy finish. A fourth portrait on glossy paper shows a profile shot of Andretti in his white and black Texaco car, which he signed in bold, blue sharpie. The final portrait, with a matte finish, again shows Andretti in his Texaco car, but with a blurred appearance to capture the speed of the race. Andretti signed this portrait in bold, silver sharpie. The portraits remain in strong physical condition with some minor dimpling and surface creases present. Each signed photograph comes with its own PSA/DNA certification.
