Nearly 40 years ago, Tatum O’Neal captured the hearts of baseball fans everywhere with her portrayal of hard-throwing, sharp-talking, 11-year old pitching phenom Amanda Whurlizer in the 1976 film “The Bad News Bears.” This lot of four items commemorating the movie is each signed by the actress. Highlighting the set is a pristine Bears edition bat from the Cooperstown Bat collection. Signed in similar blue Sharpie are an 8x10” promotional photo from the film, and an 11x14” reproduction of the movie poster. Finally, a Rawlings Official Major League (Selig) ball is signed on the sweet spot in blue ballpoint pen. A fun selection hearkening to one of the most endearing baseball movies of all time.
