Most New York Mets and New York Jets fans have climbed aboard a packed #7 train from Grand Central Station and other stops in Manhattan to see their teams play at Shea Stadium since it was originally built in 1964. Over the years many of the home and visiting team’s players have also ridden the train to the game. These authentic 11”x 17” metallic black MTA Subway signs contain the familiar lavender circle #7 and Willets Point Shea Stadium locations; one is signed by football Hall of Fame, Super Bowl III hero [Broadway] Joe Namath in bold silver sharpie and the other is signed by baseball Hall of Fame hurler Nolan Ryan who broke in as a rookie with the Mets in 1966. Both Namath and Ryan played for championship teams in New York in the mythical year of 1969. These fantastic pieces of New York sports and transit history come with JSA/COA #W735738.
