The 2014 season marked the end of a successful run for third baseman Pablo Sandoval with the San Francisco Giants. “Kung Fu Panda” won three World Series titles with the Giants, including in 2014, when he used this signed Tucci Lumber KFP48 model bat in a Sept. 16 game against Arizona. The bat shows outstanding evidence of game use, highlighted by a crack where the handle meets the barrel that is firmly held together by a thick coat of pine tar. The barrel features more great evidence of use, including a paint transfer that shows a portion of the “Major League Baseball” logo marking from a baseball from where it contacted the bat. The handle is wrapped with an orange “Lizard Skins” wrap, while the knob of the bat features a special edition Sandoval decal that reads “Congo De Africa,” “KFP” and “48” around a skull. Sandoval went 2-for-4 in the contest against Arizona and this bat was cracked on a grounder in the sixth inning. Sandoval signed the barrel of the bat in bold, black sharpie along with an inscription of his number “48” and “Game Used 2014.” The bat is MLB Authenticated, certification number “HZ080951,” and also comes with PSA/DNA certifications, numbers “X90400” and “1B09425.”
