Called the “new Muhammad Ali” by the late sports announcing legend Howard Cosell, boxing great Sugar Ray Leonard would certainly live up to the hype. A world title holder in five weight classes, Leonard would become the first professional fighter to accomplish that feat. Offered are five pairs of black boxing trunks signed by Leonard in bold, silver sharpie on the left leg. The trunks read “SUGAR” centered on the front of the waistband in white with a black border on a black satin nameplate. The bottom front of the right leg reads “RAY” while the bottom front of the left leg reads “LEONARD” in the same matching style as “SUGAR” on the waistband. The drawstring trunks are absent of any manufacturer’s labeling and each feature a size “L” tag on the inside. Each pair of signed trunks is accompanied by a PSA/DNA COA.
