Hall of Famer Rod Carew used this size 42 powder blue Minnesota Twins jersey during the 1978 season in which he won the American League batting title. This pull over knit jersey was manufactured by Wilson and features "Twins" sewn on in red and navy blue tackle twill diagonally upwards on the front of the jersey and Carew's "29" on the front right center. The "29" is sewn on in back in red and navy blue and "CAREW" is sewn on in red arched across the upper back. The V-neck collar has a navy blue, white and red pattern made of ribbed material the same navy blue, white and red pattern rounds out each sleeve. The Twin Cities patch that shows two ball players shaking hands (one representing the Minneapolis Millers and the other the St. Paul Saints) is sewn on the left sleeve and the white team tag is sewn on the bottom of the front with "78 3" indicating the year the jersey was issued. This game used jersey shows light to moderate use and comes with a full LOA from Mears, who have rated this a perfect A10.
