From 1986-1996, 33 new members were elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame, each induction year Louisville Slugger and the Hall of Fame issued a new commemorative 34-inch bat containing gold leaf facsimile signatures of the living Hall of Famers with the current year’s inductees added in green. The 1986 bat includes 54 living Hall of Famers and the three new inductees: Willie McCovey, Bobby Doerr and Ernie Lombardi. The 1987 bat added Ray Dandridge, Jim “Catfish” Hunter, and Billy Williams. The 1988 bat includes, Willie Stargell. The 1989 bat added Johnny Bench, Carl Yastzemski, Red Schoendienst, and Al Barlick. The 1990 bat is absent from this collection. The 1991 bat includes Rod Carew, Fergie Jenkins, Tony Lazzeri, Bill Veeck and Gaylord Perry. The 1992 bat added Tom Seaver, Bill McGowen, Rollie Fingers, and Hal Newhouser. Reggie Jackson was the only name added to the 1993 bat. The 1994 bat includes Leo Durocher, Steve Carlton, and Phil Rizzuto. The 1995 bat added Vic Willis, William Hulbert, Richie Ashburn, Leon Day and Mike Schmidt. The 1996 bat includes Ned Hanlon, Jim Bunning, Bill Foster, and Earl Weaver. All 10 bats have a brown finish, are in perfect like-new condition and are tagged with the business cards of the Hall of Fame’s presiding presidents. This fantastic commemorative lot would look great on display. Each bat comes with it's own loa from the Reese family
