This original photograph of the band Nirvana was taken by famed rock photographer Greg Waterman on a shoot for their album at the time (most likely 1991's "Nevermind"). The photograph is titled, signed and dated by the photographer, "nirvana -second shot, Waterman '91". This original photograph was printed on high quality fiber artist's paper, and measures 7.5 x 9.5. Nirvana popularized punk, post-punk, and indie rock and brought the grunge music scene into America's living room like no other band had before it. Their seemingly overnight mega- success took the music industry and the band itself by surprise - and took a tragic turn when front man Curt Cobain, after suffering much mental anguish, committed suicide on April 5, 1993. This is a beautiful photograph capturing the group when they were already known in the Seattle area music scene, and about to become a worldwide phenomenon. Handsomely matted and framed, measuring 17.5 x 21.5.
