This pair is an original 1979 handbill and 1982 concert poster advertising performances by the popular new wave band “Talking Heads.” The handbill advertises their appearance with the Human League at the Birmingham Odeon in the UK on December 2 (1979) and the poster picturing the band including lead front man and songwriter David Byrne advertises a free concert in the bandshell at the University of Florida, Gainesville on September 19 (1982). One of the most critically acclaimed bands of the 1980’s, the Talking Heads were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2002.
