Although his entire NFL career lasted but three seasons, Dexter Reid was an integral part of two Super bowl Championship teams. After his rookie season in which he and the Patriots went all the way, Reid found himself back in the Super Bowl with a different team. 2007's Super Bowl XLI pitted Dexter Reid and the Indianapolis Colts against the Chicago Bears. Losing to the Bears 14-6 in the first quarter, the Colts Reid and the rest of the defense rallied and held Chicago to just 3 point the rest of the game. Meanwhile the Colts offense scored 23 more points to win the Championship. This is the original Vince Lombardi trophy awarded to Dexter Reid. The penultimate NFL trophy is plated in sterling silver and stands 16". A 7" silver football is perched atop a 10 1/2" pyramid on which is inscribed "VINCE LOMBARDI TROPHY SUPER BOWL XLI CHAMPIONS THE INDIANAPOLIS COLTS". The NFL shield logo is mounted onto the front as well. "DEXTER REID #36" is etched into the side of the pyramid. This hefty player-issued trophy weights 7lbs-13oz and is the most coveted team award the NFL can bestow. Letter of Authenticity signed by Dexter Reid stating that this is his original personal trophy and not a copy or replica.
