For Ted Williams, 1942 was the first of three Triple Crown seasons. The Splendid Splinter finished the season with 36 home runs, 137 RBI and had a robust .356 batting average. Despite those numbers, Williams finished second in the MVP voting to the Yankees’ Joe Gordon.

Offered here is a lithograph dedicated to that 1942 Triple Crown season. The litho shows Williams in three poses, both in color and black and white. Beneath the images on a white backdrop is written in black “TED WILLIAMS TRIPLE CROWN WINNER 1942 RBI 137 HR 36 BA .356”. Williams signed his name in bold blue marker across his swinging image and inscribed “1942”. This lithograph is matted in a red display with “T.C. 1942” in black on the bottom. This Ted Williams signed piece comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA (O03564).
