Graded VG 3 by PSA. Hall of Famer. This is a truly special, career-contemporary trading card collectible of the famed Pirates shortstop. The item is incredibly scarce (especially in this favorably well-preserved state), but without the daunting issues that surround another, somewhat notorious Wagner portrayal. (Thankfully, Honus had no objection to his image being associated with baseball's traditional ballpark snack). This specimen of the coveted card offers a satisfying tone of white in image and border areas, as well as rich facial tones and a bright red background. The naturally textured card stock is highly presentable, and technical liabilities are seen only in natural wear to the corners and generally faint, largely muted vestiges of product staining. A perennially sought-after classic, in Very Good condition.
