This incredible photo collectible – produced for the cigarette maker by The Pictorial News Co. of New York and featuring a crystal-clear, black-and-white illustration – reveals the assembled members of the New York Giants squad (including Cooperstown enshrinees Christy Mathewson, Rube Marquard and manager John McGraw). Familiar and awe-inspiring names can be matched with faces on the image of this fantastic photograph: McGraw, Doyle and Merkle, Mathewson and Marquard. The weight of history can be felt in seeing the picture of a self-assured Jim Thorpe at the left side of the photo. The other end of the spectrum – mirth – is found in the so-serious visage of the Mascot at the picture's far right. A visually inspiring artifact, in Very Good condition.
