Yankee Stadium hosted the thrilling 2008 Major League Baseball All-Star Game, a contest that wasn’t decided until the bottom of the 15th inning. The American League scored two runs in the 7th inning to tie the score at 2-2. The National League plated a run in the 8th to take the lead, only to have the AL tie the game at 3-3 in the bottom of the inning. There would be no further scoring until the 15th, when the AL won the game, 4-3, on a sacrifice fly by Michael Young. J.D. Drew, who went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs, won the contest’s Most Valuable Player Award.
Offered here is a 2008 American League All-Star Game ring, featuring a blue colored stone center that is surrounded by CZs. “ALL STAR GAME 2008” reads around the outer perimeter. One side of the ring displays the American League logo, while the opposite side shows the 2008 All-Star Game logo above “NYC”. The inside of the band is marked “STERL”. This ring, which shows wear, is an approximate size 9 and weighs approximately 27.1 grams. This ring comes with a LOA from Jacqueline Autry.
