Willie Randolph was a standout player for the New York Yankees. A member of the 1977 and 1978 World Series-winning teams, Randolph was a steady presence at second base and at the plate. Randolph finished his career with 2,210 hits. Following his playing career that ended after the 1992 season, Randolph joined the coaching ranks and re-joined the Yankees in 1994. Randolph spent his fifth season as a coach in 1998.
Offered here is a New York Yankees windbreaker worn by Randolph during the 1998 World Series. This navy satin jacket has a snap-button front and “Yankees” with a paraph” sewn on across the chest in white and navy tackle twill. The Yankees logo patch is sewn on the left sleeve and the 1998 World Series logo patch is sewn on the right sleeve. This jacket was manufactured by Starter and is a size XL. Randolph signed his name in silver marker on the upper left chest, above the “Yankees”, and inscribed “98 World Series Game Used”. This jacket comes from the collection of Willie Randolph and a signed LOA from Randolph will also accompany this item.
