The 2002 Major League Baseball All-Star Game featured star-studded lineups, plenty of offense and even a defensive play for the ages. It was a great game, except that it had no winner. After 11 innings, the game was called due to both teams running out of pitchers, with the National League and American League playing to a 7-7 tie. Torii Hunter provided the highlight of the game, going far over the outfield wall to pull back a would-be Barry Bonds home run (Bonds would later homer in the game anyway). Alfonso Soriano would hit a solo dinger for the American League squad.
Offered here is a 2002 Major League Baseball American League All-Star Game ring which was presented to Willie Randolph. This Jostens-manufactured ring features a round CZ set on a beautiful large blue stone. Around the bezel setting reads “2002 ALL STAR” along with two MLB logos. The American League logo centers one side of the ring while the opposite side displays the 2002 MLB All-Star Game logo. The inside of the band is marked “© JOSTENS YLTM”. This ring is an approximate size 10 with the weight approximately 20.3 grams. This ring derives from the personal collection of Willie Randolph and a signed LOA will accompany this ring.
