Roy “Doc” Halladay went 21-10 in 2010, leading the league in innings, complete games and shutouts. His control was laser-sharp as he walked just 30 batters. The voting for the NL Cy Young Award was just a formality as Halladay easily won the coveted pitching prize. Halladay went on to win just over 200 major league games before retiring in 2013. His life was tragically cut short when the plane he was piloting went down in the Gulf of Mexico in 2017. “Doc’s” Cy Young season-used Louisville Slugger R161 model bat shows heavy use and is un-cracked. The barrel displays many ball marks with stitch impressions and ink transfers along with cleat imprints and bat rack paint streaks. The handle has a heavy coat of pine tar and the barrel has been signed by the Cy Young winner in bold black marker. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B06757) for the game use and has been graded a perfect GU 10 and a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (A25479) for the signature.
