University of Southern California wide receiver Steve Smith wore this white USC road jersey during the 2007 Rose Bowl Game presented by Citi against the University of Michigan on January 1st, 2007. Smith was instrumental in number eight USC’s upset victory over the third-ranked Wolverines, catching seven passes for 108 yards and a touchdown in the Trojans 32-18 win. Smith scored on a seven-yard pass from John David Booty late in the fourth quarter to push USC’s lead to 32-11. Booty completed 27 of 45 passes for 391 yards and four touchdowns, while Dwayne Jarrett caught 11 balls for 205 yards and two scores. Smith, the 51st pick in the 2007 NFL Draft by the New York Giants, caught 71 passes for 1,083 yards and nine touchdowns in his senior season.
This offered USC road jersey is white, with Smith’s number “2” sewn on the chest, back, and shoulders in red tackle twill. A Rose Bowl patch, a Nike swoosh, and an “SC” logo are sewn on the chest of this significant jersey. “Steve Smith / USC ALL-AM / 1-1-07” is handwritten in blue marker on the back inside collar. Smith has signed the chest of this jersey in black marker, inscribing “1-1-07” in addition to his signature.
